Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR)– Jalingo on Wednesday sealed twelve (12 ) petrol stations for selling petroleum products above the Federal Government’s approved official price of N145 per litre.
This was revealed during a surveillance exercise led by the Operations Controller, Mr Jeremiah Masahat. Some facilities were sealed due to product diversion and others for incompliance with approved safety measures. Four (4) stations were sealed in Jalingo, the state capital, six (6) sealed in Wukari town, and two (2) in Gassol local government area. Some stations were compliant which is commendable.
By this surveillance exercise the general public is being reassured that DPR will leave no stone unturned to ensure that marketers do not short-change the citizens in Taraba.
