The SERVICOM Unit of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) held a workshop on Monitoring/Evaluation of the NUPRC Charter. The aim of the workshop was to review the already existing Charter to ensure effective implementation and monitoring. Additionally, the workshop sought to create awareness, and promote the visibility of the Charter amongst staff of the Commission to ensure efficient customer service delivery.
The discourse was centered around reviewing the Improvement cycle of a charter starting from the Development phase to the Improvement phase. Key areas that were expounded upon includes the enablers of charter implementation, benefits of implementing a service charter and strategies for implementation & monitoring a service charter.
Overall, the need for all staff to be customer focused was emphasized throughout the workshop. The need to leverage technology to automate and speed up service delivery was also accentuated.
