A delegation from the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) led by its Acting Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Ms Taiwo Bammodu recently paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Petroleum Resources, Mr. George Osahon.

Ms. Bammodu stated that their mission in DPR was to synergize with the Department as the regulator of the Nigerian oil and gas industry, familiarise with its operations and explore possible areas of cooperation especially in areas of capacity-building and membership drive for DPR staff with Chemistry background.

The Director of Petroleum Resources commended the institute and promised that the Department would cooperate with it to explore possible areas of collaboration. He also encouraged the Institute to avail DPR of its professional expertise.

The Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) is a regulatory body under the Federal Ministry of Health. It oversees learning, teaching and the practice of Chemistry/ Chemists in Nigeria.
