Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha declared the event open on behalf of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

Also at the event was the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Amb. Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, NUPRC Chief Executive, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe and a large delegation of NUPRC board members and management,  captains of industry, members of the diplomatic community, international and Nigerian delegates added colour to the event.
